From Ideas to Impact: HKU I-School on Innovation, Talent, and the Future
We’re pleased to share that HKU School of Innovation (I-School) was recently featured in Hong Kong Commercial Daily’s Hong Kong Campus Salon (港校會客廳).
In the interview, Professor Hayden So, Director of the HKU School of Innovation, and Professor Jason Woodard, Co-Director, shared insights into the I-School’s vision for cultivating innovation-driven talent and advancing interdisciplinary education. Together with Dr. Paul Wang, Director of the HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core (TEC), they discussed how HKU is strengthening pathways from research to real-world application, building robust networks across industry and alumni communities, and positioning itself within the Greater Bay Area to amplify impact.
The conversation highlights I-School’s role in shaping a forward-looking ecosystem—one that connects creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship, and empowers the next generation to turn ideas into meaningful outcomes.
We thank Hong Kong Commercial Daily for the feature and for providing a platform to share HKU I-School’s ongoing work and vision.
